About John
A Lifetime of Service to Claremont
John R. Cloutier was born and raised in Claremont and has spent his life in service to his hometown. A graduate of Keene State College with a degree in education, John has worked as a security officer and substitute teacher — jobs that kept him close to the working people he represents.
First elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives in 1992, John has earned the trust of Claremont voters for more than three decades. He serves as the Ranking Member of the House Public Works and Highways Committee, where he fights to make sure Claremont and Sullivan County get their fair share of state investment in roads, bridges, and public infrastructure.
Whether it’s a committee hearing in Concord or a community event on Pleasant Street, John shows up, listens, and delivers.
